Patterns and Moulds for 3.0 m diameter iCinema screen (March 2005)

With design agreed and pattern process confirmed, we began the manufacture of the 60° segment for UNSW iCinema project. The 3.0m pattern was spun on a lathe, the flanges CNC cut added and a master part manufactured. A mould was then taken and the master part safely stored. 

The iCinema screen is used for virtual reality and simulation projection. A hemispherical screen standing vertically and using special image morphing technology and projection systems to provide an immersive experience.
