In February 2009 we were approached by a consultant seeking assistance for a project being undertaken by the University of new South Wales (UNSW) on behalf of the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. They initially required a structurally rigid and internally, volumetrically calibrated sphere. Acting as a measured calibrated pressure vessel for a lung testing machine the brief was extended to providing the mould assembly, parts, and accurate positioning of penetrations etc.
